The Visitor

We just watched The Visitor last night. Wow.

The four main actors were all stunningly compelling in a quiet, layered way. Even Haaz Sleiman, whose character was charming and gregarious, had a stillness as well as a light. And Richard Jenkins – whew. I just loved his touch in this one. I couldn’t stop thinking about the movie all day.

    Amazing movie. It was slow to unravel, but really engaging. Much better than Cloverfield (which was also set in New York).
