Upgrading Kleenex

I had some time on my hands this morning, so I decided to improve our Kleenex situation. It only took a couple of hours to sew up new covers for all the tissue boxes in the house, and make custom 200-count cotton tissues to match the colors in the bathrooms and bedrooms. tissues1.jpg

They look so much nicer than the boxes you get at the store.

Plus, now we can just wash the tissues and reuse. They’re about the size of small handkerchiefs, so they’ll be a snap to wash, press and replace. Don’t you just love it when everything matches?

    This is a great project. I love handmade personal care products – they are simply the best.

    Have you considered embroidering some sort of expression on each tissue? It would be nice to get a little message every time your nose is runny, something like:

    Poor little chicken, blow your nose and then watch Family Guy as long as you like.

    Just an idea.
